Italian publishers win again

Italian publishers represented by FIEG have defeated an attempt by Eco della Stampa to overturn a ruling that they must get a licence to copy newspaper material. The judges ruled that "the reproduction of articles and pages of newspapers, without the authorization of the owner of the exclusive right to reproduction is illegitimate".

PDLN offered to mediate in the earlier stages of the dispute.
